Oh man, I’m so sorry I just saw this now, but it really is a gorgeous photo and thank you so much for sending it in! Everyone should go look for it. :D
So I’m gonna come out and be brutally honest. Cinderella is not, nor was she ever my favorite princess. For that reason, I think I’ve seen Cinderella all the way through maybe five times. If that. Since I’ve been old enough to remember the story, maybe I’ve seen it twice.
And for that reason, if nothing else, is why I love this project I’ve started. I love getting to watch through these movies with a new perspective. And honestly, for whatever reason I liked Cinderella so much more this time around. I dunno why, but wow. It’s really so great. It’s the perfect story, and it honestly just feels so…magical. The Fairy Godmother scene made me so happy, and when she’s dancing with the Prince…how can you not help but fall in love?
And true to Disney fashion, it has the perfect mix of comedy thrown in. I (and I know I’m definitely not alone on this) absolutely love the mice. They’re all so great. And all of the other animal sidekicks in this movie all serve a nice comedic balance. I also really love Lucifer even though he’s not the nicest of cats. I mean..what can I say, I’m a cat person! Also, Anastasia and Drizella are hysterical. Mean and evil at times, yes, but they are such hot messes that you sort of can’t help but love them. I highly suggest you all go to youtube and watch some videos of them at the parks. The whole Tremaine family is so quality.
Also, I don’t know where else to put this, but I have to add that I am completely and entirely blown away by the response this week. I’ve been gaining followers like mad. Like really, I’ve gained over 100 followers this week. I’m so interested in where you guys are coming from, so lemme know so I can keep that up. (: You are all so beyond great.
Anyway, what are your thoughts? What’s your favorite part of Cinderella?
In IMDB it says that those two designs around the sword on the side of the carriage are hidden Mickeys. What do you think?
