Just realized I forgot to write one of these up this week, so here goes.
I’m going to say I liked Fun and Fancy Free, but maybe not so much as some of the others that I watched. I don’t know if it was the story, or the fact that I’m getting a little tired of package films (only 2 left…), but something about it just felt off to me.
I did, however, think Bongo was entirely precious, and I liked the story. I kinda wish Disney would have had the time/money/capability to turn it into a full length, because I’m sure it would have done really really well.
As for Mickey and the Beanstalk, I liked it, but…I dunno. I’m not entirely sure about it. I enjoyed seeing Mickey, and I really loved hearing Walt voice Mickey, but I guess I was just sort of bored with the story. Also, I know a bunch of you like and wanted to see caps of Edger Bergen, but honestly ventriloquist dummies freak me out so much. Aha.
What’d you guys think of it?
The “Mickey and the Beanstalk” project began in 1940, and originally, Sterling Holloway was planned to be the narrator.
