Jungle Book Remix
This is one of those movies that I have seen (when I was really young), but I don’t really remember much about. I distinctly remember the end scene where they defeat Shere Khan, but other than that I didn’t remember anything else that happens. Then, when I got older, I somehow remembered it as ‘a boy movie’ and never felt the need to watch it again. Having re-watched it, I still feel like it is ‘a boy movie’. Not at all meaning that girls don’t like it, I just feel like it’s one of those movies that is geared more toward boys. I dunno if it’s the lack of female characters, or what…
Anyway, I feel like this movie is somewhere in the middle for me. I didn’t necessarily LOVE it, but it’s not at the bottom of the list for me either. There were good parts (I love Baloo so much), and there were semi borring parts for me. I think it’s just all in a matter of preference.
How do you feel about this movie? Do you like it? And also, do you feel like it’s ‘a boy movie’ or not?

No runner ups this week as there weren’t enough entries. New contest cap will be up tomorrow!
Every story idea was supervised by Walt Disney including the ending in which a girl entices Mowgli to go to the man village. Animator Ollie Johnston hated that ending because he felt it was lazy and tacked on but the more he worked on the sequence the more he began to feel it was the right one. Later Johnston said that he was glad that Walt didn’t listen to him.
